Public Accounts Committee to probe MRR2

KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee will probe into the Middle Ring Road II (MRR2) damage.
PAC chairman Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid said they would visit the site today with Public Works Department (PWD) officers for a clearer picture of the situation.
“We will get an explanation from the relevant authority and the PWD is responsible for it at the moment.
“If needed, we will call the minister in charge (Datuk Mohd Zin Mohd),” he said after chairing a PAC meeting at the Parliament yesterday.
Earlier this month, three panels of carbon fibre reinforced plastic fell from Pillar 28 of the highway, which led to partial closure of the highway, causing a massive traffic jam.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Agency has reopened its files on a previous allegation of corruption in the construction of MRR2
